About Us
St Johns Preschool is a not-for-profit Ofsted registered pre-school which was founded in 1978. It was established by the congregation at St John’s Church as a way of serving the needs of the local community in Widnes. Since that time, we have been a constant presence at our Greenway Road centre just opposite the beautiful Victoria Park.
Being a Non-Profit organisation means that every penny we make is returned to the pre-school, which allows us to have:
Experienced Practitioners
Having a higher staff budget means we can offer better job quality & job security, this allows us to attract higher quality employees. All of our practitioners have Qualifications in Childcare as well as many years experience.
The Best Equipment
Here at St John’s we are different from our competitors simply because we do not have any owners, we are governed by a committee who all have one priority, the well being of the children, families and staff. Every penny we make goes straight back into the nursery, for new toys, books & equipment, well maintained and updated play ground areas and of course a huge range of art supplies.
Tasty & Healthy Food
As with everything else at St John’s Nursery, the food we serve Snacks is of the highest quality, fresh and expertly prepared. We are able to cater for all dietary requirements and are allergen conscious. If your little one has any dietary requirements, intolerances or allergies please inform us upon enrolling.
